Jyoti Kumari is an attorney at bar and a registered Indian Patent Agent with over 17 years of experience in IP prosecution and enforcement of IP rights.

Biography

Jyoti has represented large corporates, SMEs, start-ups and research institutes operating in the field of in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, nanotechnology, chemicals, FMCG, biomedical devices and bioinformatics before the Indian Patent Office in connection with the prosecution and enforcement of Patent rights. She assists clients with patent searches and renders opinion on patentability and infringement analysis. She assist clients in managing their IP portfolios. She has been involved in guiding and managing the IP portfolio for many start-ups.

Jyoti has thorough experience in handling opposition matters, conducting IP due diligence and vetting of Technology License Agreements.

Jyoti has conducted many training sessions in IP for R&D sector. She has been part of trainings designed specifically for start-ups. She has conducted many IP awareness workshops for universities and research students. She is a regular speaker at various conferences and seminars.
